Mukhtar: The Avenger of Hazrat Hussain( R.A)
Al-Mukhtar ibn Abi Ubayd al-Thaqafi was a man of courage and faith, who believed that God had chosen him to retaliate the blood of Hazrat Hussain, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH0. He was born in a noble lineage, but he didn't watch for worldly power or wealth. He watched only for justice and verity, and he followed the training of Ali, the kinsman and son- in- law of the Prophet. He was pious to Muhammad ibn al- Hanafiyya, a son of Ali, whom he considered to be the due leader of the Muslims. When Hazrat Hussain was killed by the dictator Yazid in Karbala, Mukhtar was locked by the governor of Kufa, who stressed his influence.
