A Hawkins County man has completed the Appalachian Trail, a 2,190-mile hike from Georgia to Maine. The man, who asked to remain anonymous, said he completed the hike in 144 days. He said he was inspired to hike the trail after reading a book about it. “I had always wanted to do something challenging, and the Appalachian Trail seemed like the perfect challenge,” he said.
